Murder Mistaken
Tuesday 24 February to Saturday 6 March 2004 |
Apparently a doting husband, Edward (Joe Shaw)
has only one interest in his older wife – her money. After her “accidental”
death surprisingly leaves him broke he goes searching for victim number
two. He meets and marries a rich and cheerful barmaid (Sherrie Hewson)
and again all goes to plan…until the arrival of a mysterious stranger
(Gaby Roslin).
This atmospheric story of murder and intrigue provides perfect parts
for all three stars: Sherrie Hewson, after her years of brilliant
comedy with Russ Abbot and then stints on Coronation Street and Crossroads
has all the fun and warmth for the second wife; son of the illustrious
Martin Shaw, Joe Shaw from Bad Girls is ideal for the psychopathic
but charming killer. And, known to millions from The Big Breakfast,
Children in Need and her current morning TV show with Terry Wogan
(which she will continue to do throughout the play's run) and from
her West End performance as Mama Morton in Chicago, Gaby Roslin brings
her beauty and elegance to the enigmatic role of the stranger. |

Thanks to Martina for letting us know about Joe appearing
in the above.
